Key international sales secured for season one
as season two gets BBC greenlight;
Acorn Media Enterprises with Acorn TV returns as
U.S. co-producer
Paris 14 October 2018. Boutique co-producer and distributor About Premium Content (APC) has signed several major broadcast deals for its hit drama series Keeping Faith, which has been a runaway ratings success on BBC One, BBC Wales and S4C.
Produced by Vox Pictures for S4C and BBC Wales and gap-financed by APC’s financial partner Nevision, Keeping Faith garnered a 20-year ratings’ high when it debuted on BBC Wales. The series has also proved a record-breaker on BBC iPlayer, with nearly 20 million requests to view – the highest ever number recorded for any non-network show – with an incredible following and positive response on social networks.
The female-fronted thriller aired in primetime on BBC One this summer to critical acclaim and an average watched live of 2.55 million per week. The broadcaster has recently confirmed it has greenlit production on a second season of 6 x 52 minutes.
APC has concluded a number of key sales for both seasons one and two of Keeping Faith. APC has extended its co-production deal with Acorn Media Enterprises for all rights across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, plus home entertainment in the UK & Eire. Acorn TV, North America’s largest streaming service for British and international television, will feature its U.S. and Canadian premiere as an Acorn TV Original in 2019 coinciding with the BBC One premiere. Acorn Media International will oversee Acorn’s distribution rights in Australia, New Zealand, UK and & Eire.
Amazon Prime Video in France along with Israel (Yes DBS), Portugal (RTP), Nordic Countries (TV4 + C More), Poland (CANAL+ and Ale Kino+), have also picked up the series.

Starring Eve Myles (Victoria, Torchwood, Broadchurch), Keeping Faith is an emotionally intricate and intimate thriller which centres on a woman who discovers the man she loves is a stranger. Faith Howells’ husband leaves for work one day but never arrives, and it becomes apparent that he has been leading a double life. Following this revelation Faith must fight to protect her family and her sanity as she is propelled into a lonely, frantic search in which she discovers as much about her unexplored self as her missing husband.
Vox Pictures’ Pip Broughton directed and produced the returning series which was created and written by Matthew Hall (Wing and a Prayer, New Street Law), Sian Naomi (The Indian Doctor), Anwen Huws (Gwaith/Cartref) and co-produced by Nora Ostler. Andy Newbery also directed.
Adrian Bate is the Executive Producer for Vox Pictures while Gwawr Martha Lloyd and Gethin Scourfield are Executive Producers for S4C. Maggie Russell is the Executive Producer for BBC Wales. James Cabourne and Shane Murphy are Executive Producers for Nevision and AME respectively.
